Where are Mushroom Maiden's mushrooms grown?

All of our mushrooms are grown locally at a small family farm in the Appalachian Mountains.

Quality

Why does Mushroom Maiden specify 100% fruiting bodies?

The vast majority of clinical studies on medicinal mushrooms like Lion's Mane have been conducted on the fruiting body. Some brands market mycelium as a selling point — and while mycelium has beneficial properties, they are more concentrated in the fruiting body. Mycelium products also contain filler material from the growing substrate, making them less potent per weight. We use 100% fruiting bodies because that's what the research supports.
