Ingredients
- 1 shot of espresso (about 1 oz) or ½ cup strongly brewed coffee
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1 tsp Lion's Mane mushroom powder
- Sweetener to taste (optional)
- Vanilla extract or syrup (optional)
- Cocoa powder or cinnamon to garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew your coffee. Pull a shot of espresso or brew a strong cup using a French press, Moka pot, or AeroPress.
- Heat and froth the milk. Steam with a frother or heat on the stovetop until hot but not boiling, then froth with a whisk or handheld frother.
- Whisk in the Lion's Mane powder. Add 1 tsp to the hot milk and whisk until fully dissolved.
- Add sweetener and flavorings if using, and stir to combine.
- Pour the espresso into your mug, then slowly pour in the frothed milk.
- Spoon foam on top and dust with cocoa powder or cinnamon if desired.
- Serve immediately and adjust ratios to taste.
Notes: Adjust the espresso-to-milk ratio to your preference. With a little practice you can pull barista-quality lattes right from your own kitchen.
